Thai Embassy in Washington DC

The Thai Embassy in Washington does issue visas for Thailand but not very popular amongst those leaving for Thailand. Most expats and visitors prefer the Thai Consulate in Illinois or the Thai Consulate in Los Angeles. Some do used the Thai Consulate in New York but not many when asking around. All the Consulates can issue you a visa and all will allow you to register your child as a Thai born abroad. You may have to go down to the consulate with your Thai wife with the child and all your documents. The contact numbers and operating hours for the Consulate in Washington is listed below.

My wife is a Thai National and wanted to get her Thai Passport renewed before we go to Thailand this July. I had heard that the address posted for the Washington Thai Consulate is different and after driving form Jacksonville, Fl. address is different. Also, we drove up to Washington over the weekend so we could be at the consulate on Monday morning and they were closed due to a Holiday for the queen. they had nothing posted on the website saying they would be closed April 6 due to a Holiday, We decided to drive home and handle our business when we get to Thailand. All of my communications with this Consulate has been confusing and very frustrating.
When you call you cannot leave a message and trying to get information by sending email the answers are not complete and like I said confusing.

I am a Thai citizen married to a U.S. citizen. We moved from Thailand six years ago and have been living in the U.S. I just returned from a trip to Thailand and we are planning to move back to Thailand in about two years.
I would like to know what items can we ship to Thailand.

    Thanks
    S.P.
