Do I need the transit visa for Thai land and Me and my wife and 4 children have Pakistani passports but 1 of my son is Australian born citizen and have Australian passport. We advise that you contact the Thai embassy in Perth. Not all Thai embassies or consulates are issuing double-entry tourist visa to Thailand and therefore it is best to talk to them directly to confirm with them about your concern.

I currently hold the Australian student visa. Is it possible to apply for tourist visa while holding a student visa? My nationality is Sri Lankan. If you can kindly advice me on my eligibility and also the visa process.

    Thank you

We advise that you contact the Thai Embassy or Consulate near you to confirm if they are accepting Tourist Visa applications for Sri Lankan nationals. They should also be able to give you information on the visa process.

Good Morning, My wife went to Thailand 3 months ago on her Thai passport which was due to expire in December this year 2015. As she is living over here (13 months so far on marriage visa) she went to Thailand and applied for new passport with her marriage name also on it. When she went to check in at passport control in Bangkok she was delayed for an hour with Thai airways, something about the visa not being correct on new issued passport. She finally managed to board her flight but was told she has to get some type of other visa added to her new passport when back in Australia? We are planning on going to Thailand in January 2016 and would like to know what we need to do from here in Perth, before we book our holiday to ensure there are no dramas. Thanks Colin

In order for us to advise you properly, we would need to obtain more information about your wife’s passport and about the incident. Please leave your contact details and we will get in touch with you regarding your concern.

I’m planning on going to Koh Samui to study and all the websites i have looked at are telling me that i need to have my plane tickets booked and enrol in a course and pay a deposit before i arrange my non-immigration student visa. I am an Australian citizen and am planning on a 12 month Thai language course. Is this the correct procedure or do i apply for the visa first to make sure i can get one before i spend all the money on the plane and course and accomodation?

The process in applying for an ED visa to study in Thailand may depend on the school where you will be enrolling at. We advise that you contact the school to confirm their application procedure.
